There are many people who are concerned about the risks from RF EMF, but there are ways to shield yourself. Wearing clothing that is made of EMR shielding fabrics will shield you from damaging radiation. They are typically made of a silver-colored fabric embedded in a fine mesh. When the radiation from the wireless signal of a cellphone or WIFI signal hit this material, they cause the electrons within it to eddy or echo within the material. RF EMF can be used to heat organic matter
RF EMF is a potent source of energy that can heat up organic matter. It accomplishes this by changing the water molecules' polarization. The heat may result in superficial and deep cataracts, burns, and general hyperthermia. While these effects may not be as obvious as typical EHS symptoms however, they can be significant. Luckily, the levels of exposure that are sufficient to trigger these effects aren't as high as the negative effects of radiation to EMF.

An RF-powered antenna of 25 ft in length was installed at 620 ft depth. After 40 hours of RF heating, the temperature within the borehole went up from 210 F. The study revealed the potential of RF heating as an useful technique for heating formation. In a later study, Bottazzi et al. (2013) analyzed the utility of heating with electricity in the downhole situation.

Both methods are suitable to warm organic matter. The method one is to place a material in a high-frequency electromagnetic field. A second approach involves placing an object within the field that is an inductor. The electromagnetic field generates electrical currents in the material, which causes heat to rise in the object. Quantity of heat that is generated is determined by the resistance of the material to the flow of the currents, as well as the length of the exposure.

While the effects on biological systems of RF EMF aren't conclusive, studies have revealed the possibility of a link between exposure to EMF from RF sources and EHS symptoms. This relationship requires further study to understand if EMF exposure causes EHS. The evidence that suggests that exposure to RF EMF can cause EHS is limited. However, there are many studies that demonstrate this connection between RF EMF and the oxidative stress. While it is still not clear what the duration of EMF exposure can cause cellular damage, it's important to be aware of what's going on within the body to prevent this type of problem. It could even affect the function of organs.

The effect of heating caused by RF EMF can be due to the polarity the compounds. When the RF energy passes through a polar substance nuclei of the atomic structure and electrons inside the nuclei are displace from their equilibrium position. As a result, the electrons around the nuclei transform into dipoles inducing. This dipole realignment takes place thousands of times per second. As a result there is friction between the moving molecules and heat is generated throughout the material.

Although RF radiation doesn't directly harm DNA, it can cause heat to accumulate in body tissue, which could lead to burning or damage to tissue. Contrary to ionizing radiation RF radiation isn't believed to cause cancer. However,  emf shielding  have revealed increased tumor rates in laboratory subjects exposed RF radiation.

There are many federal agencies responsible for managing and monitoring the consequences from RF radiation on human bodies. This includes those of the Environmental Protection Agency, the Food and Drug Administration, and the Occupational Safety and Health Administration. They monitor exposure to RF to ensure that it is safe for workers. They also advise employees to reduce their exposure to radiation if they are working in high-frequency RF environments.
